Caregiver Community Network
In collaboration with United and
Guided, Inc., caregivers, adult clients, and family are invited
to Caregiver Community Network on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, from
5:00 pm – 6:00 pm! This event is an opportunity to build
community, learn about resources, and allow for group discussion.
Light bites and a wellness gift will be provided.
Registration is required by September 25. Interpretation available upon request by September 25.
Walk with Austin: 6th Annual TRY-athlon for Kids of All Abilities
Kids of all abilities are encouraged to participate in the Walk with Austin: 6th Annual TRY-athlon on Saturday, October 03, 2026, from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm (actual race time is about 1 hour long)! Walk, roll, bike, and swim at this fun community event using any equipment needed. Celebrate the end with a “finisher party!” All athletes will receive a swag bag, t-shirt, and a medal. Registration is required.

Community Mental Health Forum
Join OCA Sacramento for a
Community Mental Health Forum on Thursday, October 8,
2026, from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm in recognition of
World Mental Health Day. The discussion about Hope and
Healing: Navigating Psychotic Disorders Together. Admission
is free, there is free parking, and light refreshments will be
provided.

1st Annual Community Resource Fair

Are you interested in serving on a
committee? Do you enjoy advocacy? Would you like to meet the
members of the Client Advisory Committee (CAC)? Adult
clients of Alta California Regional Center (ACRC) are invited to
an in-person or virtual Open House on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, from
12:00 pm – 3:30 pm to learn about the CAC and how to get
involved.
DisCo Social Event: Bringing the Disability Community Together
PPL is hosting a and members of the disability community are invited to attend! DisCo stands for “Disability Community. These events are focused around creating a third space for people with disabilities (and their loved ones) to come together and find community. There are no costs or requirements to attend, people are welcome to join for a little bit or stay for the full two hours.
The event is Thursday, September 17, October 15, and November 19, 2026, from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm.
Community Resource Development Plan Guidelines Public Comment Period
The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is asking for stakeholder (public) comments on the priorities included in the Fiscal Year (FY) 2026-27 Community Resource Development Plan (CRDP) Guidelines. The CRDP guidelines are the instructions that help all 21 regional centers request resource development funds from the Department. Each year, the CRDP Guidelines document includes a variety of key priorities for regional centers to focus on. These priorities help regional centers identify where CRDP funding can best address community resource needs.

Sierra Native
Alliance (SNA) works with cultural, health and social service
partners throughout the region to support the wellness of Native
families, cultures and environments. They are hosting the Auburn
Big Time Pow Wow on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from
10:00 am – 9:00 pm. Enjoy Native artists, food, and
contest dancing!

Youth with disabilities, ages 6 – 12,
are invited to attend a Youth Art Series hosted by Access
Leisure to learn about influential artists and
practice a new art skill on Saturday, October 17, 2026,
from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm. Together, youth will engage
with history and technique of the artist for that day then try
that medium out themselves!

Yolo County SELPA, in collaboration with the Community Advisory Committee, is hosting the 2026 Resource and Transition Fair on Thursday, October 22, 2026, from 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm. This event is open to the public and is specifically designed to connect individuals with disabilities and their families with resources, vendors, and support within the Yolo County area.

or Treat on Friday, October 23, 2026, from 6:00 pm – 8:30
pm! Enjoy a festive sea of creatively decorated car
trunks transformed into eerie yet enchanting mini haunted
houses. Get your costume game on and join the fun! There
