The Lanterman Appeals Process is for resolving disputes with a regional or developmental center about eligibility or the nature, scope, or amount of services and supports. This process is not to be used by consumers to resolve issues related to denials of rights.

Under the Lanterman Appeals Process, disagreements may be about services, eligibility, or any action or decision of the regional center or state developmental center with which you disagree. The Lanterman Appeals Process includes a voluntary informal meeting, mediation, and a fair hearing. Forms required to file for a fair hearing are available from the Department of Developmental Services website and from ACRC. You can also review the The Lanterman Act Appeals Information Packet.
