Self Determination Advisory Committee Members Needed

Alta California Regional Center (ACRC), in coordination with the State Council on Developmental Disabilities (SCDD), is forming a local volunteer Advisory Committee, to reflect the multicultural  diversity and geographic profile of our regional center, to provide oversight of the implementation of Self-Determination in Sacramento, El Dorado, Alpine, Sierra, Nevada, Placer, Yuba, Sutter, Colusa, and Yolo Counties.

In accordance with Senate Bill 468, the Advisory Committee will:

• Help facilitate the sharing of best practices and training materials
• Review the development and ongoing progress of the Self-Determination program
• Make recommendations for improvement of the Self-Determination program to ACRC and/or the Department of Developmental Services.

Individuals with developmental disabilities, family members, other advocates and community members are encouraged to apply.
