Minimum Wage Increase

Effective January 1, 2022 the minimum wage in California will increase from $14.00 to $15.00 per hour in 2022 for employers with 26 or more employees and will increase from $13.00 to $14.00 per hour for employers with 25 or less employees. Regional center service providers that are currently paying a wage below these amounts may be entitled to an increase. Please review the information below to determine the steps necessary to apply for a rate adjustment. Any questions can be sent to the minwage@altaregional.org.  

Service Providers with a rate set by the Department of Developmental Services (DDS)

Community Based Day programs (CBDP), In-Home Respite Agencies and Work Activity Programs (WAP) need to submit information to DDS as indicated on DDS web site shown in the link titled CBDP, In- Home Respite and WAP Providers. Please note that there is a separate Excel worksheets for CBDP and Work Activity Programs and a separate one for In-Home Respite Agencies.  

Service Providers with rates set through negotiation by regional centers

Providers with rates set by the regional center through a negotiation process can click one of the links to download the Excel spreadsheet applicable. For vendors that provided both alternative and traditional services during the three month review period, complete the Traditional and Alternative spreadsheet. For vendors that provided only alternative service during the three month review period, complete the Alternative Only spreadsheet. For instructions on how to complete the spreadsheet please review the Vendor Worksheet Instructions found within the Excel document. Providers may submit the completed spreadsheet to minwage@altaregional.org no later than March 1, 2022.

Alternative Residential Model (ARM) rates for residential and out-of-home respite facilities

Alternative Residential Model (ARM) rates for residential and out-of-home respite facilities will change effective January 1, 2022. These rates also affect out-of-home respite facilities (service code 868). These rates will be automatically adjusted by the regional center. No action is required by residential care homes for the ARM rate increases.
