Stay Cool and Safe: Sacramento County Cooling Centers Open May 30–31

With high temperatures forecasted, Sacramento County is activating cooling centers to provide residents with relief from the heat. These centers will be open on Friday, May 30, and Saturday, May 31, from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM each day. Facilities are pet-friendly (one pet per person, two per couple; pets must be crated), and amenities include snacks, warm meals, phone/device charging stations, and restrooms.

Outreach and Engagement Center
3615 Auburn Blvd
Open 10:00 AM May 30 – 8:00 AM June 1

Sam & Bonnie Pannell Community Center
2450 Meadowview Rd
Open 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM on May 30

Sacramento Regional Transit is offering free rides to and from these cooling centers. Residents are encouraged to call 2-1-1 to check center capacities before traveling.
