Understanding Your HCBS Rights
The Department of Developmental Services has partnered with Alo Consultation to conduct a training via Zoom. The Understanding Your HCBS Rights training will cover the principles behind Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) requirements like accessing the community, choice in services & supports, and your right to have visitors. You will hear from individuals about their experiences with the HCBS principles and learn how to talk with your service provider or staff about the HCBS principles.
This webinar will:
- Teach about the principles behind the HCBS requirements (like accessing the community, choice in services and supports, the right to have visitors, and more…).
- Let the audience hear from individuals about their experiences with the HCBS principles.
- Demonstrate how to talk with service providers or staff about the HCBS principles.
The webinar will be offered on two different days/times, February 9th from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm and February 10th from 10:00 am to 11:30am (same information presented at both trainings). Registration is required. Submit registration for February 9 with this link or for February 10 with this link.
A recording of the webinar will also be posted on the Department of Developmental Services website.
