National Voter Registration Day

Post

Every day is a good day to make sure you’re on the roster to vote in the November election, but Tuesday, September 22nd, is National Voter Registration Day. If you’re waiting for a sign, this is it. Voting is about your values, your views, and how you think your government should represent you. And voting is how you make those views known.

In California, the easiest way to do this is at RegisterToVote.ca.gov. You can even check to make sure you’re already registered, just to be sure. And if you’ve moved since the last election, this is also an important chance to make sure your address is correct.

But it’s not just about California – any eligible voter in the United States should take this opportunity to make sure they can cast a ballot. Just go to Vote.gov to get started!

Once you’ve done this, if you’re a member of the disabilities community, you should also take a look at Disability Vote California. This non-partisan coalition is committed to engaging and informing voters with disabilities, eliminating barriers to voting, and protecting eligible voters’ right to participate in elections. Check it out today!
