FATSO

Seeking Paid Actors

Community Event

Are you someone who loves music? Do you like to act? Do you get excited about theatre productions? Well, this is something you won’t want to miss!

Process Theatre, in Sacramento, is looking for 10 actors to be in a show called FATSO! FATSO is a musical about adults with disabilities. This musical has it all—it’s funny, it’s serious, and it has a message. FATSO teaches us to love ourselves and to love each other, just the way we are!

There are 10 parts. All actors will be paid to be in the play. If you would like to be in the show, please come try out. Try out times are:

  • Sunday, June 4, from 2:30 pm – 8:30 pm
  • Monday, June 5, from 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm

Try out location:
The Table
5265 H St, Sacramento, CA 95819

At try outs, you will be asked to sing and to act. You should bring any song you like and be ready to sing it. Then, be ready to act a short scene from a play, musical, movie, or TV show that you love. You will also talk with the directors.

Actors who are chosen for the show will practice starting July 24. Practices will go until September 17, 2023. Practice will happen about 3 times each week. You can review the performance schedule.

Don’t be afraid to ask questions! You can contact Joseph Parente, writer of FATSO. Joe’s email is parente@csus.edu. His phone number is (916) 798-7240.
