The Alta California Regional Center’s Goals
Goal 1: Individual Planning and Self-Determination
Empower individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities or limitations, and their families to be aware of life options and make informed decisions.
Goal 2: Health, Safety and Well-Being
Promote and support individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, in public and private agencies throughout our designated service areas.
Goal 3: Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services
Maintain cultural diversity and sensitivity training and, to the extent possible, support staff who reflect the cultures and languages in our community.
Goal 4: Resource Development
Expand the availability and accessibility of user-friendly and high quality services and supports throughout our designated service delivery areas to meet current and future needs of individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and their families.
Goal 5: Community Education and Outreach
Provide education and outreach to communities promoting awareness, acceptance, and inclusion of individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in community life.
Goal 6: Collaborations and Partnerships
Build upon and establish sustainable collaborative partnerships with public and private agencies throughout our designated service delivery areas to serve and benefit individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
Goal 7: Quality and Continuous Performance Improvement
Advocate for high quality services, service delivery and supports that reflect best practices and evidence-based outcomes demonstrating compassion and commitment to shared values.
