Simone

Simone has been an artist since the moment she could hold a pencil. Art came naturally for her, but it is a skill she has improved over the years. Simone devotes a lot of time to her craft and has immense focus and drive to create.

In April 2018, Simone began her day program at Studio 700. She appreciates the program because it has given her a place where she can focus on her art, and she spends most of the day working on her pieces when at the program. Studio 700 has helped Simone grow her artistic talents and she has built positive relationships with the employees who help cultivate her talent further.

Much of Simone’s art is fantasy focused and is created from her imagination. Her love of fantasy began with an interest in anime, and this helped her define her artistic style because she liked the cartoonish aspect of it. Simone also enjoys writing, and often her character descriptions in writing are depicted in her artwork. This helps Simone expand the fantasy world she creates.

Simone hopes to sell artwork on a consistent basis and has had the opportunity to sell her pieces before. With Studio 700, she can earn commission from any sales made at the program for her art. She also sold three paintings to Alta California Regional Center for display.

When she isn’t drawing, painting, or writing, Simone likes to bake bread. She also hopes to continue with more volunteer work and hopes to get a volunteer position at a food bank as she wants the work experience. Simone is considered a steady and calm presence by those who know her and are always impressed with what she produces.
