What are Behavioral Health Treatment services?

Behavioral Health Treatment services include many different
behavioral interventions and treatment services that prevent or
minimize the adverse effects of behaviors that interfere with
learning and social interaction, and promote, to the maximum
extent practicable, skill development to enhance the
    functioning of the individual.

Who is eligible for Behavioral Health Treatment
    services?

Medi-Cal members under 21 years of age.  This includes
Individuals with Fee-For-Service (FFS) Medi-Cal and individuals
with a Medi-Cal Managed Care Plan.  A doctor or
psychologist will determine if services are medically
    necessary.

California pay for behavioral health treatment for those
    diagnosed with PDD/NOS or autism.
