Service Code Breakdown
This contains a breakdown of Service Code Descriptions, Title 17 requirements, Service Standards, Checklists, Program Design Templates, and Vendor LMS Trainings:
To make it easier to review and understand the Regional Center’s current service needs, we have developed a color-coded system within the service code breakdown.
Each service code will be identified as red, yellow, or green to help clarify the Regional Center’s current level of need:
- Green – Current Need: The Regional Center currently has an identified need for this service and will prioritize these service areas.
- Yellow – Possible Need: There may be a current or emerging need for this service. These areas may be considered and prioritized based on individual circumstances and Regional Center needs.
- Red – No Current Need: There is not a current identified need for this service. These service areas will not be prioritized at this time.
Our focus will continue to be on service areas identified as green and yellow, as these represent areas where there is a current or potential need. Service needs can change over time based on the needs of individuals and the availability of services within the provider network. While the color-coded system is intended to provide guidance regarding current service needs, it does not guarantee referrals or a particular level of service utilization. Service needs can change over time, and referrals are based on the individual needs, preferences, and circumstances of the individuals ACRC serves.
For service areas currently identified as red, we encourage providers to continue checking the service needs information quarterly, as the Regional Center’s priorities may change as needs evolve. We recognize that establishing a new service can require a significant investment of time, resources, and funding. ACRC understands the commitment involved in developing and sustaining a new program and wants to provide prospective providers with information that can help them make informed decisions before making these investments.
The service needs information is intended to give providers greater insight into ACRC’s current and emerging service needs, helping businesses and organizations identify opportunities to develop programs that address gaps in the provider network and meet the needs of the individuals we serve. By sharing this information, ACRC hopes to support thoughtful provider development, encourage services where they are most needed, and contribute to the long-term success and sustainability of the provider network.
Areas of Specialized and Expanded Access: Regardless of the color designation, ACRC continues to have a need for providers who expand access and address specialized needs, including medical or behavioral supports, services in multiple languages, and services in rural, underserved, or areas outside the general Sacramento metropolitan area. These services help ensure individuals have access to providers who can meet their unique needs, preferences, and circumstances.
