Minimum Wage Increase

Effective January 1, 2016 the minimum wage in California will increase from $9.00 to $10.00 per hour. Regional center service providers that are currently paying a wage below the $10 per hour may be entitled to an increase. Please review the information below to determine the steps necessary to apply for a rate adjustment.  Any questions can be sent to the minwage@altaregional.org mailbox.  

Service Providers with a rate set by the Department of Developmental Services (DDS)

Community Based Day programs (CBDP) and Work Activity Programs need to submit information to DDS as indicated on DDS web site shown in the link below titled “CBDP and WAP Providers.

Service Providers with rates set through negotiation by regional centers

Providers with rates set by the regional Centers through a negotiation process can click the link below titled ”Worksheet for Negotiated Rate Providers” to download the Excel spreadsheet.  Please follow the instruction on the spreadsheet.  There is an email address where the spreadsheet can be submitted. This spreadsheet must be submitted to ACRC no later then March 31, 2016.

Service Providers with Other Rates:

•Alternative Residential Model (ARM) rates/respite facilities: The proposed ARM rates, effective January 1, 2016, for community care facilities, are in the link below. These rates also affect respite facilities (service code 869).
• In-Home Respite Agencies (IHRAs): The Department will revise the rates for all IHRAs and will provide regional centers with copies of the revised rate letters to IHRAs.
• In-Home Respite Worker (service code 864): The proposed new rate, effective January 1, 2016, is $13.10 per consumer hour.
• Voucher and Participant-Directed Respite (service codes 420 and 465): The proposed new rate, effective January 1, 2016, is $13.10 per consumer hour.
• Non-Mobile Supplemental Staffing: Pursuant to Title 17, Section 57530, the supplemental reimbursement rate for Community-Based Day Programs will increase to $1.20 per consumer hour.
