Maria
In Celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month
For Maria, Hispanic Heritage Month is
important because she can celebrate with her family and friends.
As a Mexican, Maria values her culture and finds enjoyment in the
food, community, and dance. Her family frequently comes together
to host parties, and Maria takes the opportunity to dance the
  entire time.

One of Maria’s hobbies is making art and focuses on drawing animals with colored pencils. Creating art is how Maria relaxes and passes the time. Besides drawing, Maria has established the goal of going back to school. Although she completed high school, Maria would like to further her education and attend California State University, Sacramento.
When she was a high school senior, Maria worked in a preschool, and after she graduated, she worked in a daycare. She enjoys working with children and is considering a career where she can continue her previous work experience. Completing higher education would help Maria align with her goals.
Her care for others is evident in the love she shows her two Doberman dogs, Chopo and Simba. She has been a proud pet parent for over three years and enjoys hanging out with her furry friends.
