Changes in Behavioral Health Treatment (BHT) for individuals receiving Medi-Cal

For individuals under 21 years of age with autism spectrum disorder, the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) has communicated a change that will effect persons currently receiving BHT through regional center funding.  Behavior Health Treatment will be provided as a covered benefit, meaning families will receive the service funded by Medi-Cal.

Your Service Coordinator will be working with you on this transition.
