Ben
Abstract and Geometric Artist
Since he was a child, at around five
years old, Ben has been interested in abstract and geometric art.
This interest has transcended the years and blossomed into a
talent and hobby as an adult. Ben is focused on perfecting his
craft as he continues to gain experience as an artist.
Using a variety of mediums, Ben creates intensely detailed and eye-catching geometric work onto paper. He then uses sharpies, gel pens, rulers, and pencils to make a multi-pattern masterpiece. Some pieces even feature a hint of sparkle with glitter pencils he uses to draw. Each piece takes about a week to complete due to the amount of detail and meticulous design Ben puts into his work.
In addition to creating art, Ben is a lover of chess and will frequently feature chess-like components into his artwork. If one looks closely at his artwork, they can find chess boards hiding in his geometric patterns. To improve his chess skills, Ben likes to hold chess tournaments with friends and family members. One of his goals is to join a chess club where he can practice with people from a variety of skills.
Besides his goal of joining a chess club, Ben looks forward to selling his artwork one day, where it can be appreciated by people from different backgrounds and in different spaces. He puts so much care into his work, framing the pieces so they are protected and respected. To further grow as an artist, Ben would like to join an art related day program where he can learn new techniques that will aid his goal.
