LOIS Virtual Town Hall
The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is hosting a virtual town hall on Thursday, October 9 from 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm and Tuesday, October 21 from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm on a new system California is creating! During the town hall, you can help shape the online system by sharing your feedback.
Registration is required. Register for the October 9 OR October 21 town hall.
The new online system is intended to better support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, their families, regional centers, and service providers. This online system will be called LOIS, which is short for Life Outcomes Improvement System.
LOIS will be a system for case management and financial information. LOIS will be available to everyone to manage information about regional center services, communication, schedules, and provider payments. It will find new ways to serve you better. LOIS might be able to help you to do things like:
- Make it easier to talk with your regional center and the Department of Developmental Services
- See your information any time, from anywhere
- Share updates and documents with your service coordinator
- Provide new tools to make support choices and improve life outcomes
You can watch an introduction to LOIS via a recording from DDS with this link.
