Community Placement Plan (CPP)
CPP was created to transition persons with developmental disabilities out of a State Developmental Center (DC) or those at risk of being admitted into a DC and into a community integrated facility. The California Regional Centers have been given the responsibility of facilitating this process, which includes overseeing the development of these community integrated facilities through the Request for Proposal (RFP) process. Alta California Regional Center is given funds from the Department of Developmental Services to use toward the development of these facilities. These funds are then granted to the RFP applicant selected by a Regional Center committee.
